Scallywaggs Kids Club caters for children from the ages of 5 to 13 years, Monday to Friday and also during the school holidays.
We have a range of children from a variety of local primary schools. Drop offs can be arranged between either parents or schools and the Co-ordinator, depending on the location of the school.
A typical day at Scallywaggs Kids Club starts with a roll call followed by afternoon tea of sandwiches and fruit (provided). Following this, children are free to play, learn and have fun!
Scallywaggs Kids Club offers a wide variety of activities for children:
- A computer room with a range of computers and games (Nintendo included). There is no access to the internet.
- An art room which offers painting, colouring and drawing, play dough, box creations and collage.
- An outdoor play area which consists of a carpentry area, a sandpit and toys, rope course, concrete areas for play and drawing, a paddock for making huts and participating in ball games as well as an adventure playground.
- A gymnasium is available for wet days. Once a week in the winter terms, we have organised games in the hall.
Homework at Kids Club is often requested by parents, this is carried out with one on one support from a Scallywaggs Kids Club staff member.
During the school holidays we offer a holiday programme which is limited to 20 children. (Priority is given to the full term Scallywaggs Kids Club children). We provide a mixture of centre based activities, community activities, and outings.
